Repetition has not dulled the shock.  Once again, victims of the United States torture program have been denied their day in court.  To date, every attempt by torture victims to seek redress against those who facilitated and carried out torture has been dismissed before the defendants have even been required to respond to the charges.  As one of the lawyers in the case put it, "It can fairly be said that the Bush administration made torture the law of the land and the Obama administration is making impunity for torture the law of the land."  The truth about the torture programs will eventually come out, but the victims must still wait for justice.
