Our team culture is centered on mutual respect, candor, collaboration, accountability, trust, solutions, continuous improvement, and fun.
The ACLU of Maine is the state's guardian of liberty. We are active in the courts, the legislature, communities, and the public sphere, working to defend the United States and Maine Constitutions so the promise of each document can extend to all people in Maine. Our priority issues include criminal legal reform, reproductive freedom, racial justice, immigrants' rights, LGBTQ equality, women's rights, voting rights, freedom of expression, freedom of speech and religion, disability rights, and privacy.
