Individuals and groups from across the political spectrum are gathering today in Augusta to show support for reproductive freedom and to oppose three bills that would put women's health at risk.  So far, the coverage of the reproductive freedom press conference has been very positive.  The Portland Press Herald quoted Rep. Les Fossel (R-Alna) as saying, "We don't have freedom unless we have it in the hard situations.  This is about trusting people and having government leave us alone."  Well put.

If you aren't able to go to Augusta for the hearings this afternoon on LD 116, LD 924, and LD 1457, you can listen in through the Judiciary Committee audio system. And, be sure to call your senator and representative to urge them to vote against these proposals.
