Tomorrow is the statewide forum to discuss bias-based profiling between members of Maine law enforcement and members of Maine's communities of color. The hope is that through dialogue, we can create understanding, improve communication, support individual experience, and come up with ways to create a stronger bridge between police and those who feel they are targeted.
Check out the blog I wrote in 2010 as the Advisory Committee was just getting up and running, and stay tuned to our site to hear how the forum goes!
