Tonight the ACLU of MAINE has the distinct honor of hosting Steve Shapiro, ACLU Legal Director, at our 2011 Justice Louis Scolnik Award Dinner. Mr. Shapiro has been working with the ACLU for over thirty years and has been the Legal Director since 1993. During that time he has been one of the chief litigators on constitutional and civil rights issues in front of the Supreme Court – having involvement as counsel or co-counsel on over 200 cases.
