Join us for a screening of "Everybody to Kenmure Street" followed by a panel discussion with our immigration attorney, State Representative Mana Abdi, and partners from Community Relief Fund.
"Everybody to Kenmure Street" is a moving and inspiring documentary about the community response to an immigration raid in a diverse neighborhood in Glasgow, Scotland in 2021.
On Eid morning, a dawn immigration raid triggered one of the most spontaneous and successful acts of civil resistance in recent memory. In Scotland’s most diverse neighborhood, hundreds of residents rushed to the streets to stop the deportation of their neighbors.
This screening is part of Points North Presents, a monthly series from the team behind the Camden International Film Festival. In collaboration with the Strand Theatre, they're bringing some of the year's best documentaries to the Midcoast.
Tickets are $12 for General Admission and $10 for Seniors, Students, and Strand Members.
