Bio

Lindsay joined the ACLU of Maine in April of 2026. In her role as development director, she is responsible for developing and implementing fundraising strategies, deepening donor relationships, and building new connections with people across Maine in support of the ACLU of Maine's mission. Lindsay describes herself as a "people person," and is excited to connect people to causes she is passionate about and work with the ACLU of Maine team to defend civil liberties and democracy in Maine.

Before joining the ACLU, Lindsay built a career in nonprofit development and communications. At Portland Trails, she engaged and stewarded donors at all levels, worked with corporate and grant funders, and led the organization's Communications and Inclusion programs. Lindsay previously served as the Annual Fund leader at the Portland Symphony Orchestra, where she connected donors with the organization's mission and community outreach.

Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Music from Otterbein University and a Master of Music from New England Conservatory. She's deeply involved in her local community — she serves as a board trustee for Good Theater in Portland and is a member of the Maine Community Foundation's 2026 Statewide Grant-Reviewing Committee for the Community Building Grant. She also participated in the 2025 Giving Project Cohort organized by Maine Initiatives and is a 2024 graduate of Maine Development Foundation's Institute for Civic Leadership (Elephant Class).

Outside of work, Lindsday enjoys singing with the choral ensemble Una Voce and appearing in local theater productions. She loves being outdoors, cooking for friends and family, and practicing yoga and dance. She lives in Windham with her husband, dog Mo, and a flock of eight chickens.
