Moving fluidly between performance and reflection, the film imagines a world in which the director’s mother Beatriz, who came to the US to support her family in Colombia through domestic labor, is a best-selling author. Using the fabricated book as a framework to explore the complex conditions of her life, mother and daughter weave a fantastical and fragmented tale of immigration, domestic labor, authorship, and mythology.
