The Press Herald editorialized today on the End Racial Profiling Act. Check out the editorial here. They had this to say about the yet to be introduced federal legislation:
"Creating a commonly agreed-upon definition, and allowing victims to have a legal remedy will go a long way toward determining how common this practice is and whether there are changes to police training or policies needed to make sure it doesn't keep happening."
And they called on our Congressional Delegation to support the legislation. Looks like Mainers are ready for a federal ban on racial profiling.
