Olympia Snowe(202) 224-5344 and Susan Collins (202) 224-2523 to urge them
to oppose Nelson-Hatch.
The Nelson-Hatch
amendment is the Senate version of the House abortion coverage ban, crafted
by Senators Hatch (R-UT) and Nelson (D-NE).
We must make sure that the Senate does not adopt a version of the Stupak
Amendment, an unprecedented restriction on women’s access to abortion care, in
its health care reform legislation. You have a critical role to play in the
fight for women’s reproductive freedom in this country. We need everyone to let
their senators know that we want health reforms that will protect reproductive
freedom not put it in peril as the House did with its Stupak-Pitts
amendment.
Tell your senators to protect women’s ability to make private health care
decisions without government interference. The moment has come to stop the
abortion coverage ban in the Senate.
