This morning I spoke to students at Gorham High School about the Fourteenth Amendment and Title IX guarantees of gender equality in the area of education. At the end of the workshop, after exercises in which we discussed ACLU cases, I encouraged the students to consider applying for an internship with us. When I arrived back at my office, I saw this delightful blog post by Emma Thieme of the University of Maine at Orono about her summer at the ACLU of MAINE.
