Nobody should be afraid to seek medical care for fear of immigration enforcement. Please be advised that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has stated that it does not conduct enforcement operations at medical facilities, except under extraordinary circumstances.
Racial Justice
Racial disparities in health care, policing and incarceration, and who holds ‘essential’ jobs, are among factors that make people of color more vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic. We must ensure our response to COVID-19 protect all Mainers, including by collecting and reporting accurate data on rates of infection and outcomes by race.
