From Springvale Public Library:

The rate of book banning has skyrocketed since 2023. The Librarians movie highlights several librarians who were fired for refusing to remove books from shelves — or sometimes for merely asking questions about the directive to do so. Texas lawmakers created a list of 850 books around race and LGBTQ+ themes to be removed from school libraries. States such as Florida, New Jersey, and Louisiana followed suit.

This is a story about the fight against censorship and the forces that try to remove books from the hands and minds of people.
