The ACLU of Maine is registered for this year's Southern Maine Pride Parade, happening TOMORROW, June 16th in downtown Portland. We will have a blue banner and new ACLU Pride t-shirts to wear, celebrating our support for same-sex marriage in Maine. We want to stand with the entire community of people who want to see Maine pass marriage for loving and committed couples in our state. This is a perfect opportunity for us to walk alongside the people we are working with and for on this important issue.
If you'd like to march with us, here are the details:
-Saturday, June 16th
-Meet on Preble Street in downtown Portland anytime after 11:00 a.m. Look for the blue ACLU banner and folks in pink ACLU t-shirts!
-The parade begins at 12:30 SHARP, so please arrive no later than noon to line up. The parade route ends at Deering Oaks Park between 1:30 and 2:00 p.m.
