Bio

Robert T. Kelley serves as our national board representative, and was the president of ACLU of Maine’s Board of Directors for the 2023 and 2024 calendar years. He also served the organization’s interim executive director.

He volunteers his time with the ACLU of Maine because he has a strong passion for its mission of supporting and defending the civil rights and liberties of all people in the Pine Tree State. Before serving as president, Rob also served on the board’s Governance Committee and as treasurer.

Earlier, Rob was a co-founder and partner in LiquidHub, Inc., a global digital marketing and technology firm that was sold to Cap Gemini in 2018. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla, and his Master of Arts and PhD in English from Indiana University.

He is deeply involved in his community as the co-founder and board president of St. George Community Development Corporation. In his free time, he enjoys creative writing and playing the piano.
