Today, the Press Herald editorialized in favor of data-tracking on racial profiling. They're right on that data-tracking will unveil the extent the problem. We know, though, that racial profiling happens, and not just in Maine, but all around the country. Whether we examine interactions with local law enforcement, anti-immigrant measures like Arizona's law or 287g programs, or loopholes in the DOJ's guidelines to prevent racial profiling, we know that racial profiling happens and it's wrong. Let's put an end to it.
