Remember Alberto Gonzales?
He’s
interviewed in Sunday’s New York Times
Magazine about his new position: Teaching a political science class
at Texas
Tech University.
It’s
been a difficult two years for our former Attorney General. You’d think with AG
credentials under your belt, a cushy job at a high powered D.C. law firm would
be easy to come by.
Not
for Alberto.
To hear him tell it, he’s been braving the “tough economic
climate” like the rest of us.
Then
there’s the matter of an ongoing special investigation into the attorney firings and the “undeserved”
damage done to his reputation during his tenure as
AG.
Undeserved?
No,
he deserves it. Check out this
list (compiled by the ACLU) of what he did as Attorney General to
undermine the Constitution and our civil liberties.
Could it have been any worse?
Frighteningly, the answer is yes.
Alberto was actually under
consideration to become our first Hispanic Supreme Court
Justice.
