It appears that the Bethel School Board took the ACLU of MAINE's end-of-school privacy alert seriously. They passed a resolution opposing the collection of student social security numbers this week. Read more here:

The Bethel school board chair pledges to bring this matter to the Maine School Board Association. We support those efforts and encourage other school board members in Maine to take similar local action. Let freedom (and privacy) ring.
