Free Future at the ACLU
One of the biggest problems with protecting privacy in the United States is that, almost alone in the advanced-industrial world, we do not have an overarching privacy law that codifies the basic privacy principles that are accepted around the world as the gold standard for protecting this human right.

Standing Together For Marriage
Yesterday, I traveled to Bangor to stand with the Coalition for the Freedom to Marry and the Mainer's United Campaign at a press conference to celebrate our accomplishments thus far. The ACLU of Maine is one of 77 members of the Coalition, a group that had only 22 members back in January.
