Volunteer Mission Statement
To be an ACLU volunteer is to care about civil rights and liberties for our communities – and to do something about it.
We work in the public sphere using strategies of advocacy and education to defend the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, and extend their promises to all Mainers.
Presidential primaries are in full swing, and volunteers have been asking candidates where they stand on key civil liberties issues. ACLU volunteers across the Northeast headed to New Hampshire to make sure people prioritize civil liberties when choosing a candidate.
