It's always hard to welcome fall after a beautiful Maine summer, but I think it's here. In just 60 days, Mainers will vote on whether or not to allow loving and committed same-sex couples to obtain a civil marriage license in our state. It's hard to believe that we only have two months left in this campaign!
Mainers United for Marriage is holding a big rally in Portland on Monday, September 10th. Stand with us at Portland City Hall at 12:30 p.m. The program will begin at 1:00 p.m.
Come and hear exciting updates from the campaign about our progress toward victory. This rally will be a strong public statement about the widespread and diverse support for marriage for same-sex couples. Speakers will include Portland Mayor Michael Brennan, Campaign Manager Matt McTighe, couples who want to get married and leaders from the faith community.
