Editorial Cartoon: Insight or Insult?

Pulitzer Prize-winning editorial cartoonist Adam Zyglis will present two lectures on the topic “Editorial Cartoons: Insight or Insult?” on March 14 and 15. Drawing for the Buffalo News (NY), Zyglis works on the cusp of free speech in American democracy.

The events are supported by a grant from the Maine Humanities Council’s Pulitzer Prize Centennial Campfires Initiative Fund. They are co-sponsored by the Merrill Memorial Library, Portland Public Library, American Civil Liberties Union of Maine, and Maine Humanities Council. Moderated by Zach Heiden, ACLU of Maine legal director.
