Dhivya Singaram first joined our team as a volunteer in the beginning of 2018. Now as Engagement Coordinator, she organizes volunteers to mobilize around our legislative, legal, and advocacy work across the state.
A Mainer born and raised, Dhivya graduated from Bowdoin College with a degree in Anthropology. Her dedication to advancing civil liberties emerged through her work with youth development and advocacy organizations including Tree Street Youth, Let’s Get Ready, Sakthi-Vidiyal, and Anchorage Youth Court.
Prior to joining the ACLU of Maine, she worked as a paralegal at a litigation law firm in Portland for two years. She loves to dance, hike, and try new things.
