The Supreme Court has gone home for the summer. Some of the Justices will be hitting the lecture circuit, while others will be hitting the road. I try to read all of the Court's decisions that touch on civil liberties and civil rights, but I have not gotten through them all yet.
If, like me, you haven't been able to find the time to really dig into Walmart v. Dukes or Ashcroft v. Al-Kidd, here is the next best thing: ACLU Legal Director Steve Shapiro's annual Supreme Court Summary. It includes links to the actual opinions, the case cites, and an explanation of each case's significance. It should be enough to tide you over, or to at least help you decide which cases you really want to read in their entirety. Much appreciated, Steve.
