I'm putting the finishing touches on a speech tonight that I'm giving at the Rockland Public Library at 6:30 p.m.  (For details, click here and then join us!)  My theme is the power of story telling to effect positive social change touching on examples from the ACLU's recent work on marriage equality, reproductive choice, immigration reform, and voting rights.  I wouldn't want to give the good stuff away by sharing the whole speech ahead of time, but here are the stories that are inspiring me today.  Take a civil liberties coffee break to watch these short videos at the following weblinks and be inspired!

Voting Rights: Viviette Applewhite

Marriage Equality:  Rita & Sarah Jane

Reproductive Choice

And a print story that's equally inspiring:

Immgration Reform:  Selvin Arevalo

See you soon!
